Reusable Gift Wrap Tutorial

Hi! This time we’re gonna give you a tutorial of making a re-usable gift wrap. It could also be a present! So you’re not only giving a gift (inside) but also a useful packaging. Let’s start!

What you’ll need :

  1. Cotton Fabric (I use floral print Cotton Fabric)
  2. Scissor (or Fabric Cutter)
  3. Ruler
  4. Stiffy Fabric Stiffener
  5. Ribbon
  6. Pom-Pom
  7. All-Purpose Glue (not included in the photo, sorry!)

First, cut your Fabric into square form, for size it depends on your gift dimension. Here, my gift dimension will be about 12 x 8 x 3 cm. I did make it too large at first but don’t worry ’cause you can cut it in the end. My Fabric size is 35 x 35 cm.Now we’re going to make stiffener liquid. Use a bowl and add water. And then add the stiffener liquid (here we use Stiffy), add about 3-5 tablespoon depends on how stiff do you want your fabric to be. I don’t want it to be too stiff, so I add 3 tablespoons and then stir it.Put the fabric into the bowl. Make sure every part of the fabric got the stiffener water.Rinse with some water, squeeze out the water and then hang it to dry. After the fabric dry, it will stiffen by itself. Now it feels like a heavier cotton fabric. Now, you can shape the fabric easily to make a gif wrap. Next, fold the fabric into two.Cut the edges to have a neat finishing.Next step, fold into an overlap section like the picture above.Glue one edge side using All-Purpose Glue.Make the bottom of the gift wrap by folding and glue-ing the fabric. This is the looks after you bond it all together. It’s almost finished, we just need to put the gift inside and add a little decoration to make it pretty.Put your present inside, and don’t forget to insert your Greeting Card too!Fold the top of the gift wrap then glue it. Add the ribbon in front of the gift wrap to make it pretty.Ta-da! It’s already done. Easy, right? To give fun vibes, you can replace the ribbon with a pom-pom.

That’s it for now, we’ll give another gift wrap tutorial next time! Or gives us a comment on what you want for our next tutorial.

Have a nice day!
